Prime ministers & Robert De Niro have eaten here,
all attracted by the serene beauty of sand dunes & ocean. On good days the view is all the way to Morocco.
Even on chilly, windy days they will be busy with Portuguese who recognize the quality
of their fresh seafood and fish. Everything is definitely from the mornings catch. A Portuguese favourite for fish soup, local clams, shrimp piripiri, fresh grilled fish, shrimp & meat kebabs, steaks, cataplanas, seafood rice, etc!
The owner Filipe and wonderful servers Helder & André turn guests to friends. Their friendly professionalism makes your meal a joy. They answer every food/menu query with good advice. But be patient, if the restaurant is packed you may have to wait a bit, well worth it for the joy to follow. Or get there early to be among the first ones seated and served, and take the time to enjoy that beer or wine!
There is a terrace surrounding the restaurant, with overhead cover, and the indoor restaurant with wrap around glass windows, giving a view to the dunes, on windy stormy days which are as spectacular as the views on calmer sunny days.
In the early morning or late afternoon you can just sit here with a beer or coffee, but respect the restaurants meal times and leave the tables for diners at lunch and dinner times: 1:00pm to 3:00pm, and 6:00pm to 8:30pm
Go to the far right at 'palm parking', it is the last restaurant on the beach. You can approach it by the short board walk.
Slip onto the sandy beach, straight from the restaurant, it is 10 feet away!
